Matteo's Olivetti M20 DES

Matteo owns a nice Olivetti M20 DES with a black and white monitor. Unfortunately, recently the computer has begun to show problems while trying to boot. The M20 after being powered up emits a beep and shows a fuzzy screen. The system hangs and does not try to load the PCOS. Every suggestion is welcome.

A color M20 bought on an online auction

Matteo has bought a 4 color M20 system. These are the photos from the auction. M20s with a color monitor are rare, because they were very expensive at the time. The system has 160 KiB because it has a 32 KiB color memory expansion card. These cards had a sort of DMA which allowed to access the video memory while refreshing the screen.
